Complete Basement Design & Buildout

Finished Basement Project 2021

This has been an ongoing side project for about 6 to 8 months. I finally got it finished about a month ago. I built out the basement from just concrete floors and the exterior block walls. I did most the work myself with just a little assistance here and there to help hang the ceiling material & drywall and to do a lot of the painting. The basement now has a large laundry room with utility sink, folding table, full size ironing board, and space for a sowing section. Almost a complete second kitchen just shy of needing a stove. It has its own pantry.

Kitchenette Area

A general gathering area with three built-in bookshelves that have Wayne’s coating across the bottom.

Built-in Bookshelves

A flat screen TV, dart board, and regulation size 8 ft. by 4 ft. three-piece slate pool table to entertain family and friends.

General Gathering Area

The general area and kitchenette area both have ply bead board ceilings with 6-in. recessed accent lighting going around the perimeter of the room.

A full third bathroom with tub and shower. It has 12-inch by 24-inch ceramic tiles laid in a subway style pattern from the top of the tub to the ceiling, and stone inlay running vertically from the top of the tub all the way to ceiling accenting the shower controls and set in the back of the built in shelf centered on the back wall.

New 3rd Full Bathroom Added in Basement

And last but not least, what could be a fourth bedroom or office with closet that has built in cedar pant rack and shelf & I think the coolest special feature. Which is the built-in bookshelf that is actually a secret door that was in my last post.

Below are pictures of the entire basement and some of the rest of the house when it was staged for sale. The house has since sold and is occupied by the new owners. If you have any maintenance or home improvement projects you would like to do. Please contact us to schedule a free estimate.
