In phase IV we framed a new closet to the right of the fire place we uncovered by removing the wall. We installed the new 60″ wide x 96″ tall French door style closet doors, installed the previously painted trim and baseboards. We also had the inside of the fireplace re-bricked, and painted and installed the salvaged fire place mantel that the customer found that is believed to be from the same era as the house. Here are some pictures of those projects finished.
And then finally on Phase V we I built a custom closet organizer that included four places to hang clothes up to 41 inches long, and a 32 inch wide section in the middle to hand clothes up to 64 inches long. It also included one 12 inch tall shelf at the bottom middle of the closet and two 19-1/2 inch wide shelves on the sides at the top, leaving a space in the center to get to the attic access that before this remodel had been sealed off permanently. Below is a picture of the custom closet organizer.
I will post some more finished project pictures of the entire project soon. Keep checking back to see what type of project we feature next. In phase III of this project we had the original wood floors patches were we removed a floor receptical and patched the holes from the pipes that were going to the old cast iron radiator style heater. Then they sanded, stained, and clear coated the wood floors. Here are some finished pictures of it.
We sanded down all the Venetian style plaster walls smooth and skim coated them. Then painted the walls a satin finished wicker white. We painted all the existing 7 door doors, 10 inch tall baseboards, and 5 inch wide door casing with a semi-gloss wicker white. Here are some before & after pictures of the walls and trim.
